Aaron Ekblad is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the Florida Panthers of the NHL. Drafted first overall in both the OHL (2011) and NHL (2014) drafts, he debuted in the NHL in 2014. Ekblad's rookie season saw him selected for the 2015 NHL All-Star Game and win the Calder Memorial Trophy. He won the Stanley Cup with the Panthers in 2024.
