AirTag is a tracking device created by Apple to help users locate personal items like keys, bags, and vehicles. It utilizes Apple's expansive Find My network, leveraging Bluetooth signals from approximately one billion devices to anonymously report the location of lost AirTags. Compatible with iOS/iPadOS 14.5 or later (including iPhone 6S and newer), AirTags offer precise location finding using ultra-wideband (UWB) technology on iPhone 11 and later models with the U1 chip. Announced in April 2021, AirTags became available for pre-order on April 23 and were released on April 30, 2021.
