She reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 3 in October 2022 and achieved the world No. 1 ranking in doubles in September 2023. Pegula was a finalist at the 2024 US Open and at the 2023 WTA Finals in singles. She also reached the final of the 2022 French Open in doubles with Coco Gauff and the 2023 US Open mixed doubles final with Austin Krajicek.
