Amy Schumer is an American stand-up comedian, actress, writer, producer, and director. She began her comedy career in the early 2000s and gained prominence as a contestant on Last Comic Standing. She is best known for creating, co-producing, co-writing, and starring in the Comedy Central sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer (2013-2016), for which she won a Peabody Award and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015.
