Anaheim, California, is the most populous city in Orange County and the tenth-most populous in California, with a population of 346,824 as of 2020. Situated in the Greater Los Angeles area, it's a major hub for tourism and entertainment. Anaheim is renowned for hosting the Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center. It's also home to two professional sports teams: the Los Angeles Angels (MLB) and the Anaheim Ducks (NHL). The city previously housed the Los Angeles Rams (NFL) for a period. Up until 2014, all council seats were elected at large in Anaheim. Voters elected the mayor and four other members of the city council to serve four-year staggered terms. Elections for two council seats were held in years divisible by four while elections for the mayor and the two other council seats were elected during the intervening even-numbered years.

All three types of crime were below average.
