The Bayesian was a 56-meter sailing superyacht built in Italy and delivered in 2008. Originally named Salute, it underwent its last refit in 2016. Owned by Angela Bacares, wife of tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, the vessel sank in August 2024.

The sailing superyacht, initially christened Salute, was launched in 2008 after being built by Perini Navi in Italy.

In the early hours of August 19, 2024, the Bayesian sank during a storm. The yacht had 22 people on board - 10 crew members and 12 passengers. While at least 15 were rescued, several remain missing, including Mike Lynch. The body of a Canadian passenger has been recovered.
