Boygenius is an American indie rock supergroup comprising Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. Their debut EP in 2018 preceded a hiatus, after which they released their critically acclaimed debut album, 'The Record' (2023). The album achieved commercial success, topping charts in multiple countries and earning them three Grammy Awards and one Brit Award. Described as an 'instant classic,' it reached number four on the U.S. Billboard 200. They also released a second EP, 'The Rest,' in October 2023, before going on hiatus again.
In 2016, both Dacus and Bridgers opened for Baker on separate tours. The members of the band became fans of each other's work and eventually became friends, which led to the band's formation.
