Robert Christopher "Chris" Bell is an American politician, attorney, and former journalist. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and South Texas College of Law. As a member of the Democratic Party, he served on the Houston City Council for five years (1997-2001). Subsequently, Bell served one term representing Texas's 25th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives (2003-2005).
