Charles Herbert "Chuck" Woolery is an American television personality, actor, and musician best known for hosting game shows. He was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" from 1975 to 1981, before hosting other shows such as "Love Connection," "Scrabble," "Greed," and "Lingo." Beyond television, Woolery had a minor musical career, including a top-40 hit with The Avant-Garde and country music releases. More recently, he hosted a political podcasting series.
