Jesús G. "Chuy" García is a prominent American politician and a U.S. Representative for Illinois's 4th district since 2019. Affiliated with the Democratic Party, García's extensive political career includes service on the Cook County Board of Commissioners, the Illinois Senate, and the Chicago City Council. He has twice run for mayor of Chicago, in 2015 and 2023. Throughout his career, García has consistently been recognized as a progressive voice in both Chicago and national politics.
