Cody Austin Poteet is an American professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Chicago Cubs. He has also played for the Miami Marlins and New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB).

In 2016, Poteet played for the Greensboro Grasshoppers in Single-A, posting a 4-9 record and a 2.91 ERA.
In 2018, Poteet played for both the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in Double-A.
In 2019, Poteet played for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and the New Orleans Baby Cakes, and was named an All-Star.
The 2020 minor league season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Poteet was assigned to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in Triple-A to begin the 2021 season.
On August 9, 2022, it was announced that Poteet would undergo Tommy John surgery, ending his season.
On December 15, 2022, Poteet signed a minor league deal with the Kansas City Royals.
