Daniel Joseph Clancy is an American technologist and computer scientist. He notably served as the engineering director for Google Book Search from 2005 to 2014, contributing significantly to the development and implementation of the project. Following his tenure at Google, Clancy held the position of vice president of product and engineering at Nextdoor from 2014 to 2018, where he focused on product development and engineering strategies for the social networking service.
