Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra is a Peruvian politician, civil servant, and lawyer currently serving as the 64th president of Peru since 2022. Prior to her presidency, she was the first vice president under President Pedro Castillo and also held the position of minister at the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion. Boluarte's career includes a long tenure at the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC), where she worked as an officer from 2007 to 2022. Her rise to the presidency followed political turmoil and the impeachment of her predecessor.
