On January 7, 2023, Torrez made her collegiate debut for the Oklahoma Sooners at the Super 16 Invitational. She competed on three events and co-won the title on floor exercise. As a result she was named Big-12 newcomer of the week.

2025: Perfect 10s and NCAA Tournament Success

In 2025, Torrez earned her second perfect 10 on floor exercise and helped Oklahoma to second place in the team competition. During the NCAA tournament in 2025, she earned two more perfect 10s and helped the Oklahoma Sooners win the 2025 team title. She was also named South Central Region Gymnast of the year.
