Jesper Fast is a Swedish professional ice hockey player currently playing right winger for the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Fast joined the Rangers organization in 2013 before eventually moving on to play for the Hurricanes.
In 2009, Jesper Fast played in ten international matches for Sweden at the U18 and U19 levels.
In 2011, Jesper Fast represented Sweden in the IIHF World U20 Championship, tying for the team lead with four goals and recording two assists in six games. Sweden finished fourth in the tournament in 2011.
In 2014, Jesper Fast's physical game improved after he added muscle in the offseason, which helped him overcome the drawback of lacking an ideal frame for National Hockey League play.
