Jonquel Orthea Jones is a Bahamian-Bosnian professional basketball player currently playing for the New York Liberty in the WNBA. Drafted sixth overall in 2016, she also holds citizenship in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2019, enabling her to represent the nation on its national team.
During the 2016-17 off-season, Jonquel Jones signed with Asan Woori Bank Wibee of the Women's Korean Basketball League.
In 2016, Jonquel Jones was acquired by the Connecticut Sun after her draft rights were traded by the Los Angeles Sparks. During her rookie season, she served as the backup center for the Sun, averaging 6.8 points per game.

In November 2019, Jonquel Jones made her debut for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Russia, scoring 29 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
In 2019, Jonquel Jones regained her starting center role, led the league in rebounds, and was voted into the 2019 WNBA All-Star Game, making it her second all-star appearance, and making WNBA Second Team. The Sun advanced to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2005, marking Jones' first career Finals appearance.
In 2021, Jonquel Jones returned to the WNBA and led the Sun to the best record in the league. She was named the 2021 WNBA MVP nearly unanimously, made WNBA All-Defensive First Team and almost won the DPOY award.
Jonquel Jones made her debut for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the first round of EuroBasket Women 2021 qualification.
