Kareem Hunt is an American professional football running back currently playing for the Cleveland Browns. He previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs, who drafted him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft after a college career with the Toledo Rockets. Hunt's NFL career has been marked by both success and controversy.

In 2013, as a freshman at Toledo, Hunt played in 12 games, starting in three. He rushed for 866 yards on 137 carries, scoring six touchdowns. He had multiple strong performances, including 127 rushing yards against Navy and 186 rushing yards against Buffalo.
In 2015, Hunt was named the MVP of the GoDaddy Bowl after rushing for 271 yards and five touchdowns against Arkansas State, tying an NCAA record with Barry Sanders.
In 2015, Kareem Hunt was suspended for the first two games of his junior year due to a violation of team rules. He returned for the third game but was injured and missed the following two games. He finished the 2015 season with 973 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
In 2016, Hunt played all 13 games, leading the MAC in rush attempts (262) and yards (1,475). His 4,945 career rushing yards broke Chester Taylor's school record and was third all-time in MAC conference history. He also set school records for yards per rush (6.3) and total yards from scrimmage (5,500).
On August 27, 2017, following a knee injury to Spencer Ware, Hunt was named the starting running back for the Kansas City Chiefs.
On September 7, 2017, Kareem Hunt made his NFL debut against the New England Patriots. He finished with 246 total yards from scrimmage (148 rushing, 98 receiving) and three touchdowns, setting a record for the most scrimmage yards in an NFL debut.
On December 19, 2017, Kareem Hunt was named to the 2018 Pro Bowl as a rookie, marking a significant achievement in his debut NFL season.
