Holger Rune

Holger Vitus Nødskov Rune is a Danish professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ranking of world No. 4, the highest for any Danish player in ATP history. Rune has won five ATP Tour singles titles, including a prestigious Masters 1000 title at the 2022 Paris Masters. He has also reached the quarterfinals of three major tournaments, demonstrating his potential on the grand slam stage. Rune is considered a rising star in men's tennis.

1973: ATP rankings began

In 1973 the ATP rankings began, Holger Rune would become the first player on record (since the ATP rankings began) to beat five top-10 opponents at the same event outside the ATP Finals in 2022.
