Thomas "Tommy" Hyunsu Edman is an American professional baseball utility player currently playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals. Known for his versatility and defensive skills, Edman also represents the South Korean national team in international baseball competitions.

In 2013, Tommy Edman graduated from La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, California, where he was selected to an All-Academic Team.
In 2015, Tommy Edman played collegiate summer baseball for the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he batted .304, was named starting second baseman for the East Division All-Star team, and helped lead the Red Sox to the league championship.
In 2016, Tommy Edman was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball draft after playing college baseball at Stanford University.
In 2016, as a junior, Tommy Edman started every game at shortstop for Stanford University and earned a spot on the Pac-12 Conference first team.
In 2017, Tommy Edman played for the Peoria Chiefs, Palm Beach Cardinals, and Springfield Cardinals, achieving a combined batting average of .261 across 119 total games between the three clubs.
In 2018, Tommy Edman was named a Texas League All-Star while playing for Springfield. He also broke Springfield's all-time record by reaching base in 32 straight games. Later in the season, he helped the Memphis Redbirds win the Pacific Coast League title and was named a co-MVP of the PCL playoffs, along with Randy Arozarena.

In 2019, Tommy Edman was called up to the major leagues by the St. Louis Cardinals, making his debut on June 8 versus the Chicago Cubs. He recorded his first MLB hit on June 14 against Steven Matz of the New York Mets and hit his first career home run on June 20 against Tayron Guerrero of the Miami Marlins. He also had the fastest sprint speed of all major league third basemen at 29.4 feet/second.
In the pandemic shortened 2020 season, Tommy Edman was named the starting third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals.
In 2021, Tommy Edman was named the St. Louis Cardinals' starting second baseman. From August 23 through August 29, he earned the Major League Baseball Player of the Week Award for the National League. He also won the Gold Glove Award at second base.
