Before joining AEW/ROH, Fletcher competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) where he was an IWGP Tag Team Champion and a two-time Strong Openweight Tag Team Champion. He also wrestled for Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) in the UK, where he held the Undisputed British Tag Team Championship twice.
