Leon Czolgosz

Leon Czolgosz was an American anarchist and former wireworker who assassinated President William McKinley in Buffalo, New York, on September 6, 1901. Czolgosz shot McKinley, who died eight days later due to infection. He was apprehended immediately, swiftly tried, convicted, and subsequently executed by the state of New York on October 29, 1901, roughly seven weeks after the assassination.
