Manny Machado is a prominent American professional baseball player currently playing third base and shortstop for the San Diego Padres in MLB. He gained recognition early in his career as a highly-touted prospect from Miami's Brito High School, leading to him being drafted third overall by the Baltimore Orioles in 2010. Machado bats and throws right-handed and has also represented the Dominican Republic in international baseball competitions.
