Michael Thomas Conforto, nicknamed "Scooter", is an American professional baseball outfielder currently playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants. His career has primarily been in MLB, where he has established himself as a professional outfielder.

Conforto's two home runs in Game 4 of the 2015 World Series made him the first rookie to homer twice in a world series game since Andruw Jones accomplished the feat in Game 1 of the 1996 World Series.
In 2004, Conforto represented the Northwest Region in the Little League World Series.
In 2012, as a freshman at Oregon State University, Conforto achieved a batting average of .349/.437/.601 with 13 home runs and 76 RBIs. He was named Freshman Hitter of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.
In 2013, during his sophomore year, Conforto helped lead Oregon State University to the College World Series, where he was named to the All-Tournament Team. He was also named the Pac-12 Player of the Year and a first-team All-American.
On July 11, 2014, Conforto signed with the New York Mets, receiving a $2,970,800 signing bonus. He then played for the Brooklyn Cyclones.
In 2014, after playing college baseball for the Oregon State Beavers, the Mets selected Conforto in the first round of the MLB draft with the 10th overall pick.
Prior to the 2014 season, Conforto was named the preseason Sporting News College Baseball Player of the Year. Conforto finished the 2014 season hitting .345/.504/.547 with 52 runs, 16 doubles, seven home runs, 56 RBIs, and 55 walks. He was again named the Pac-12 Baseball Player of the Year.
On June 26, 2015, Conforto was promoted to the Binghamton Mets of the Class AA Eastern League.
On July 12, 2015, Conforto started in left field for the United States team at the All-Star Futures Game and recorded two hits and one assist at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
On July 24, 2015, Conforto was promoted to the major leagues by the Mets and made his debut that day, recording his first major league RBI.

On June 25, 2016, the Mets demoted Conforto to the Las Vegas 51s of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League due to a slump.
On July 23, 2016, Conforto made his major league debut in center field as a defensive replacement.
In 2016, while playing with AAA Las Vegas in the Pacific Coast League, Conforto led the PCL with a .422 batting average.
In the 2021 season, Conforto finished with a career-worst slugging percentage, as well as a batting average and OPS worse than any season of his aside from 2016. On defense, he exclusively played right field.
In 2017, Conforto was selected to the MLB All-Star Game. However, on August 24th, he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. He batted .279/.384/.555 with 27 home runs and 68 RBIs for the 2017 season.
In 2018, Conforto led the Mets with 28 home runs and 82 RBIs.
On May 28, 2019, Conforto hit his first career grand slam against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
In 2020, Conforto played in 54 games for the Mets, batting .322/.412/.515 with 9 home runs and 31 RBIs, while leading NL outfielders in assists.
In 2020, Conforto was named an All-MLB Second Team outfielder.
In January 2021, Conforto got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Cabernet Burns.
On April 8, 2021, Conforto was the batter during a rare walk-off hit by pitch to win a game against the Miami Marlins, which was a controversial call.
After the 2021 season, Conforto became a free agent.
Following the 2021 season, Conforto declined a qualifying offer from the Mets, opting for free agency.
Prior to the 2021 season, the Mets offered Conforto a $100 million contract extension, which he declined.
In January 2022, Conforto suffered an offseason shoulder injury during a workout, leading to right shoulder surgery.
Conforto missed the entire 2022 season due to a shoulder injury.
On January 6, 2023, Conforto signed a two-year, $36 million contract with the San Francisco Giants, including an opt-out clause after the first season.
In December 2023, Michael Conforto and Cabernet Burns welcomed their first child, a son named Camden.
On December 10, 2024, Conforto signed a one-year, $17 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After the 2023 season, Conforto opted in for the 2024 season at $18 million with the San Francisco Giants.
