Morgan Wallen is an American country pop singer who gained initial recognition through his appearance on The Voice. He released his debut extended play, Stand Alone, in 2015, followed by The Way I Talk in 2016 after signing with Big Loud. His debut studio album, If I Know Me (2018), spawned several successful singles, including "Whiskey Glasses." The album achieved the top spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart after a notable 114 weeks.

In October 2020, videos surfaced on TikTok showing Morgan Wallen disregarding CDC guidelines in bars in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, after attending a University of Alabama football game, leading to cancellation of his SNL appearance.
On February 2, 2021, TMZ released a video recorded on January 31 showing Morgan Wallen using a racial slur. This resulted in radio stations temporarily removing his music, streaming services removing him from playlists, and his record label suspending his contract.
In February 2022, Morgan Wallen co-wrote Tyler Joe Miller's single "Wild as Her".
In May 2022, TCRG properties paid 10.2 million dollars for the property behind Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row bar in preparation for Morgan Wallen's bar.

In May 2023, Morgan Wallen was featured on the song "Stand by Me" from Lil Durk's eighth studio album Almost Healed, marking their second collaboration.
On January 26, 2024, Panacea Records released a deluxe 10th anniversary edition of Morgan Wallen's 2015 EP, Stand Alone, including eight previously unreleased songs, against Wallen's wishes. In response, Wallen released "Spin You Around (1/24)", an acoustic re-recording of the original.
On February 15, 2024, Nashville Post revealed that Morgan Wallen's bar would be 30,000 square-feet, consisting of six bar areas, three live music areas, a gift shop, and a rooftop deck.
On April 7, 2024, Morgan Wallen was arrested after allegedly throwing a chair off the roof of Eric Church's bar in Nashville. He was charged with multiple counts, including felony reckless endangerment.
On June 1, 2024, Morgan Wallen's This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen officially opened in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. This six-story restaurant and music venue is a partnership between Wallen and the TC Restaurant Group.
In September 2024, Morgan Wallen announced that "Love Somebody" would be his second single for his then-upcoming fourth studio album. The single was released on October 18.
In December 2024, Morgan Wallen pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, with the other charges being dismissed, and was sentenced to serve seven days in a DUI education center, and two consecutive years of supervised probation.
On January 24, 2025, Morgan Wallen announced his fourth studio album, I'm the Problem, along with a tour of the same name, and the release of the title track, which was previously teased on his Instagram account as "I Guess".
