MyKayla Skinner Harmer is a retired American artistic gymnast, most notably the 2020 Olympic vault silver medalist competing as an individual athlete. She was also an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. Skinner contributed to the U.S. team's gold medal at the 2014 World Championships, where she earned an individual bronze on vault. During her senior career, she accumulated 11 medals at the USA National Championships. Furthermore, she competed for the University of Utah's gymnastics team, securing two NCAA championships and setting Pac-12 records for conference honors.
On December 9, 1996, MyKayla Brooke Skinner Harmer was born. She later became an American artistic gymnast.
In 2011, Skinner attended Higley High School as a freshman.
In 2011, Skinner became the junior individual all-around champion of the American Classic. She was also named to the junior U.S. national team after her performance at the National Championships.
In 2012, Skinner became age-eligible for senior-level competition and was added to the U.S. senior national team. She also participated in the City of Jesolo Trophy.
Starting in 2012, Skinner was homeschooled.
In 2013, Skinner competed at the Fiesta Bowl, winning every individual event except for the floor exercise. She also competed at the P&G Championships, placing third on vault and floor, and finishing sixth in the all-around.
In November 2014, Skinner signed a National Letter of Intent for the University of Utah and the Utah Red Rocks program.
In 2014, MyKayla Skinner competed at the World Championships, contributing to the U.S. team's gold medal win, and also securing an individual bronze medal on vault.

In May 2021, Skinner competed at the U.S. Classic, where she finished first on vault and 10th in the all-around. She was also featured on the Peacock docuseries "Golden: The Journey of USA's Elite Gymnasts".
In 2021, Skinner finished fifth in the all-around at the Olympic Trials and was selected to represent the U.S. in the non-nominative spot at the Tokyo Olympics as an individual competitor.
On September 22, 2023, Skinner and Harmer announced the arrival of their daughter, Charlotte Jane, through Instagram.
