NFL GameDay was a series of American football video games developed by 989 Sports for the PlayStation and PlayStation 2. Starting with NFL GameDay in 1995 and ending with NFL GameDay 2005, the series directly competed with EA Sports' Madden NFL and Sega's NFL 2K franchises. The series ended after EA acquired exclusive NFL licensing, effectively ending the GameDay franchise after a decade of releases.
