Nicolas Deslauriers is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently playing left wing for the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 2009. In 2009, Nicolas Deslauriers played major junior ice hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and Gatineau Olympiques.
In 2009, Nicolas Deslauriers was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round as the 84th overall pick at the NHL entry draft.
Prior to the 2010-11 QMJHL season, Deslauriers was traded to the Gatineau Olympiques in exchange for two draft picks.
On May 31, 2011, Deslauriers signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings and was assigned to the Manchester Monarchs.
During the 2011 QMJHL playoffs, Deslauriers led all QMJHL defencemen in postseason scoring with 20 points.
On May 9, 2013, Deslauriers was recalled to the NHL level from the Manchester Monarchs.
On March 5, 2014, Deslauriers was traded to the Buffalo Sabres along with Hudson Fasching in exchange for Brayden McNabb, Jonathan Parker, and two draft picks.
During the 2014 off-season, Deslauriers lost nearly 20 pounds and transitioned to playing as a winger for the Buffalo Sabres.
On January 4, 2016, head coach Dan Bylsma announced that Deslauriers would miss three to six weeks while recovering from a lower body injury.
On October 30, 2016, Deslauriers sustained a knee injury that caused him to miss 19 games.
On October 4, 2017, Deslauriers was traded by the Sabres to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Zach Redmond.
At the end of December 2017, Deslauriers earned the Molson Cup honour in recognition of his improved playing skills.
In 2017, Deslauriers was assigned to the Buffalo Sabres' AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans.
On September 17, 2018, during a preseason matchup against the New Jersey Devils, Deslauriers suffered a facial fracture and was placed on injured reserve.
On June 30, 2019, Deslauriers was traded by the Canadiens to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a 2020 fourth-round draft pick.
In February 2020, Deslauriers signed a two-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks and set the record for the fastest hat trick in Ducks history, scoring all three goals in the first period against the Ottawa Senators.
On March 19, 2022, Deslauriers was traded to the Minnesota Wild for a 2023 third-round pick.
On July 13, 2022, Deslauriers signed a four-year, $7 million contract with the Philadelphia Flyers as a free agent.
On March 6, 2026, Deslauriers was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.
