During 2006, Phil Stockman continued his athletic career by representing Australia as a participant in the international baseball tournament known as the 2006 World Baseball Classic.

During the 2010–11 inaugural season of the Australian Baseball League, Phil Stockman joined the Brisbane Bandits. By doing so, he became the first former Major League Baseball player to suit up for the team, concluding the season with an impressive 2.45 ERA and limiting opposing hitters to a .067 batting average across 10 appearances in 2010.
In 2014, Phil Stockman began his tenure as a member of the coaching staff for his team during the 2014–15 Australian Baseball League season.
