Quinn Simmons is a professional American road cyclist. He currently competes for the UCI WorldTeam Lidl–Trek. On September 30, 2020, Quinn Simmons was suspended by Trek–Segafredo for using a black hand emoji in response to an anti-Trump tweet. This action was deemed racially insensitive. He was later reinstated in November after an apology.
On July 22, 2021, Quinn Simmons achieved his first professional victory on Stage 3 of the Tour de Wallonie, also taking the overall lead in the race.
In 2021, Quinn Simmons made his Grand Tour debut in the Vuelta a España, participating in breakaways on stages 16 and later, finishing third in a sprint on another stage behind Rui Oliveira and Magnus Cort.
In 2022, Quinn Simmons dominated the mountains classification in the Tour de Suisse, claiming the KOM jersey. He faced challenges such as a COVID outbreak affecting the race and running out of water during stage 6, but he persevered to claim the jersey.
In 2022, Quinn Simmons finished seventh in Strade Bianche. Later, racing Tirreno–Adriatico, he took the lead in the mountains classification (the green jersey) and defended it for the rest of the race.
In 2022, Quinn Simmons participated in the Tour de France. On stage 3, he faced a penalty for rejoining his team off-road. On stage 6, he was in a breakaway with Wout van Aert. He was named Most Combative Rider on stage 19 after working hard for his team.
