RSM Classic

The RSM Classic is a PGA Tour golf tournament held annually in the autumn on St. Simons Island, Georgia, at the Sea Island Golf Club. Inaugurated in October 2010, it was initially known as the McGladrey Classic. The tournament's name changed to the RSM Classic in 2015 when the title sponsor, McGladrey, rebranded to RSM US. It is a significant event on the PGA Tour schedule.

March 2010: Tournament Kickoff and Logo Unveiling

In March 2010, tour pros Davis Love III and Zach Johnson kicked off the event and unveiled the tournament's new logo, painted by Rock Demarco.

October 2010: RSM Classic Debut

In October 2010, the RSM Classic, a PGA Tour golf tournament, debuted on St. Simons Island, Georgia, at the Sea Island Golf Club.

2015: Name change to RSM US Classic

In 2015, the McGladrey Classic was renamed the RSM US Classic to reflect the title sponsor's name change from McGladrey to RSM US.

2015: Course Expansion and Field Increase

Starting in 2015, the RSM Classic was played over both the Seaside and Plantation courses at Sea Island, and the field of players was expanded to 156.

Between 2015 and 2019, the RSM Classic served as the final official PGA Tour event of the calendar year.

2021: Final Official PGA Tour Event

In 2021, the RSM Classic served as the final official PGA Tour event of the calendar year.

2023: RSM Classic Becomes Final Chance for PGA Tour Privileges

In 2023, after the PGA Tour reverted to a calendar year schedule, the RSM Classic became a final opportunity for players to earn or retain PGA Tour privileges.
