Robin Hayes is an American politician and businessman. As a Republican, he represented North Carolina's 8th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives (1999-2009) and was the 1996 Republican gubernatorial nominee. He also served as chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party twice (2011-2013 and 2016-2019). In 2019, Hayes was implicated in a bribery scheme and pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. He received a pardon from President Donald Trump in January 2021.
