SSG Landers

SSG Landers are a South Korean professional baseball team competing in the KBO League. Originally established as the SK Wyverns, the team was rebranded in 2021 following its acquisition by Shinsegae from SK Group. Based in Incheon, the Landers play their home games at Incheon SSG Landers Field.

1990: Ssangbangwool Raiders Established

In 1990, the Ssangbangwool Raiders were established representing the Jeollabuk-do region.

2000: Ssangbangwool Raiders Dissolved, SK Wyverns Formed

In 2000, the Ssangbangwool Raiders were dissolved due to the bankruptcy of the Ssangbangwool Group. The KBO League awarded a new franchise to SK conglomerate, named SK Wyverns, consisting mostly of former Raiders players.
