Sergei Alexandrovich Fomchenkov, known as "Fomich", is a Russian politician and former member of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP) and The Other Russia. He is currently involved in the Russo-Ukrainian war, serving as a commander of military units.
December 1973: Sergei Fomchenkov was born
On December 1973, Sergei Alexandrovich Fomchenkov was born in Smolensk, Russia.
1998: Fomchenkov Headed Smolensk NBP
In 1998, Fomchenkov became the head of the Smolensk branch of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP).
2007: Dissolution of NBP
In 2007, after the dissolution of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP), Fomchenkov was one of its former members.
2010: Establishment of The Other Russia
In 2010, Fomchenkov and other former members of the NBP established The Other Russia.
September 2018: Battalion Disbanded
In September 2018, "Prilepin's Battalion" was disbanded, after which Fomchenkov continued to serve in the 9th Marine Regiment of the Armed Forces of DNR.
October 2022: Withdrawal to Kreminna
In October 2022, the battalion under Fomchenkov's command was almost encircled in Lyman but managed to withdraw to Kreminna during the night between September 30 and October 1, 2022.
November 2022: Awarded Order of Courage
On November 2022, Fomchenkov was awarded the Order of Courage.
