TSA PreCheck

TSA PreCheck, a program by the United States Transportation Security Administration (started December 2013), expedites security screening for select travelers on domestic and some international flights. Eligible participants include frequent flyer members, Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS members, U.S. military personnel, and service academy cadets/midshipmen. Over 100 airlines participate as of October 2024, and the program is available at more than 200 U.S. airports.

In December 2013, the Transportation Security Administration initiated the TSA PreCheck program, a trusted traveler program.

May 2023: TSA PreCheck Policy Change for Teenagers

In May 2023, the TSA announced that children aged 13-17 could accompany a parent or guardian through PreCheck lines if on the same reservation and the parent has PreCheck linked to their reservation.

October 2024: TSA PreCheck Program Update

As of October 2024, the TSA PreCheck program included 104 participating airlines and was available at over 200 airports.
