Victor Ernest "Vic" Schaefer is an American college basketball coach currently leading the University of Texas Longhorns women's team. Prior to his tenure at Texas, Schaefer achieved significant success as the head coach at Mississippi State from 2012 to 2020, and at Sam Houston State from 1990 to 1997. He is known for his coaching skills and contributions to women's basketball.
