WWE 2K26, developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K, is the next installment in the WWE 2K series, succeeding WWE 2K25. As the 26th game overall, it continues the professional wrestling sports video game franchise. The standard edition is slated for release on March 13, 2026, with early access for the Attitude Era, King of Kings, and Monday Night War Editions beginning on March 6, 2026.

May 15, 2025: WWE 2K26 Confirmed

On May 15, 2025, Take-Two Interactive, the holding company of 2K, confirmed WWE 2K26 as part of their future game lineup while reporting their results for the fourth quarter and 2025 fiscal year.

January 2026: WWE 2K26 Editions and Cover Athlete Revealed

In January 2026, WWE Games teased the reveal of the cover star for 2K26, and during the January 23 edition of SmackDown, The Attitude Era Edition of the game was revealed through a teaser trailer. The following night, during Saturday Night's Main Event XLIII, The Monday Night War Edition was confirmed. On January 26, The King of Kings Edition was confirmed. During the Royal Rumble Kickoff show on January 30, it was announced that CM Punk would be the cover athlete for the game's standard edition.

March 6, 2026: Early Access Release

On March 6, 2026, early access for the Attitude Era Edition, the King of Kings Edition, and the Monday Night War Edition of WWE 2K26 is scheduled to be released.

March 13, 2026: Standard Edition Release

On March 13, 2026, the standard edition of WWE 2K26 is scheduled to be released.
