Cooper Flagg is an American college basketball player. He gained prominence as a highly-touted high school prospect, initially playing at Nokomis Regional High School before transferring to Montverde Academy. His exceptional performance and accolades earned him national high school player of the year honors. Ranked as the top recruit in the 2024 class, Flagg recently played for the Duke Blue Devils.

In August 2022, Cooper Flagg was re-ranked as the class's second-best recruit following his performance in the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup.
In 2022, Cooper Flagg played for the United States under-17 basketball team at the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup, winning a gold medal. He was named the 2022 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year for his performance in the Under-17 World Cup and is the youngest player to win the award. He was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 9.3 points, 10 rebounds, 2.9 blocked shots, and 2.4 steals per game.
On October 30, 2023, Cooper Flagg verbally committed to play for Duke after also considering an offer from UConn.
On November 8, 2023, Cooper Flagg signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Duke Blue Devils during the early signing period.
In 2023, Cooper Flagg was named the MVP of the Hoophall Classic after scoring 21 points with five steals, five rebounds, and three assists in Montverde's 85–63 victory over La Lumiere Academy. He also was named a semifinalist for the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award.
On March 27, 2024, Cooper Flagg was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year, Mr. Basketball USA, and the Naismith Prep Player of the Year.
In June 2024, Cooper Flagg enrolled at Duke University to participate in summer practices with the Blue Devils.
On November 4, 2024, Cooper Flagg made his college basketball debut for Duke against Maine, scoring 18 points with seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a 96-62 win.
On November 18, 2024, Cooper Flagg earned Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) rookie of the week honors.

On January 12, 2025, Cooper Flagg delivered a record-breaking performance in Duke's victory against Notre Dame, scoring 42 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out seven assists, shooting 11-of-14 from the field, 4-of-6 from three-point range, and 16-of-17 from the free-throw line. This set new freshman scoring records for both Duke University and the ACC.
