Westworld

Westworld is a science fiction franchise that began with a 1973 film about a technologically advanced Wild-West-themed amusement park where android hosts malfunction and kill human guests. It spawned a sequel film and a short-lived television series in 1980. In 2016, HBO launched a new, critically acclaimed television series based on the original film, exploring themes of artificial intelligence, consciousness, and free will within the park and beyond. The show ran for four seasons before cancellation.
