On September 12, 2011, filming for "What Is Dead May Never Die" was significantly impacted by Hurricane Katia. High winds destroyed parts of the set at Renly's camp, injuring five extras. The hurricane also rendered some footage unusable, forcing the crew to rebuild the set and reshoot scenes, including the duel between Brienne and Loras and Catelyn's arrival, in October.
