On May 31, 2014, Óscar Whalley played his first professional match for Real Zaragoza against Sporting de Gijón due to injuries and departures of other goalkeepers. The match ended in a 1–1 draw.
June 2015: Play-off Semi-final Appearance
In June 2015, Whalley appeared in a play-off semi-final first leg against Girona, which Zaragoza lost 3–0. He was subsequently dropped for Bono for the rest of the tournament.
July 2015: Loan to Huesca
