Aaron Gordon is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. He was born in San Jose, California, and had a successful high school career at Archbishop Mitty High School, leading them to two state championships and earning the title of California Mr. Basketball twice. He played college basketball for one year at the University of Arizona, where his team won the Pac-12 regular season title and made it to the Elite Eight in the 2014 NCAA tournament.

In 2009, during his freshman year, Aaron Gordon started in 28 of 41 games, averaging 11.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for Archbishop Mitty High School. He also participated in track and field and played summer basketball.
In 2010, during his sophomore year, Aaron Gordon helped Archbishop Mitty win the CIF Division II title, which was the school's first state title in boys' basketball.
In 2011, Aaron Gordon continued to excel at Archbishop Mitty, averaging 16.4 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. In the 2011 title game, Gordon scored 17 points and broke the state championship record by gathering 21 rebounds.
In 2011, Aaron Gordon led his team to their second CIF Division II state title, scoring 33 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in the finals. For the season, Gordon averaged 22.9 points and was named California Mr. Basketball Player of the Year.
In 2012, Aaron Gordon averaged 21.6 points and 15.7 rebounds per game during his senior year at Archbishop Mitty. Archbishop Mitty reached the CIF Open Division finals where they lost against Mater Dei High School. Gordon was again chosen as the California Mr. Basketball Player of the year.
On April 2, 2013, Aaron Gordon committed to the University of Arizona. He announced his decision in a news conference before the 2013 McDonald's All-American Game and was later named the game's MVP.
In 2014, Aaron Gordon's Arizona Wildcats won the Pac-12 regular season title and reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.
In 2020, Aaron Gordon partnered with the Chinese sports brand 361 Degrees and donated to the Homeless Education Fund at the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools of Florida, supporting children affected by school closures during the coronavirus pandemic.
In May 2024, Aaron Gordon's older brother Drew Gordon died in a car accident.
