"Drew Edward Gordon was an American professional basketball player best known for his college career. He played power forward for the UCLA Bruins and later center for the New Mexico Lobos where he excelled. He is the older brother of NBA player Aaron Gordon."

As a freshman, Drew Gordon averaged 9.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 4.5 blocks per game and earned CIF Central Coast Section Freshman of the Year honors, All-WCAL first-team selection, and All-CCS second-team honoree.
Drew Gordon was named the 2006 Cal State Sophomore Player of the Year, All-California Interscholastic Federation third team, All-Northern California first team, All-Central Coast Section first team, and All-WCAL first team selection after averaging 14.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.4 steals, and 3.9 blocks per game during his sophomore year.
Drew Gordon committed to play basketball at UCLA under Ben Howland, choosing the Bruins over several other schools, including North Carolina and Duke.
ESPN published an official scouting report for Drew Gordon in November 2007 in which they predicted he "should see some time coming off the bench".
Drew Gordon led Archbishop Mitty to a 26-9 record while averaging 15.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.3 steals, and 4.1 blocks per game during his junior year. He was named the 2007 San Jose Mercury News Player of the Year as well as the 2007 Cal-Hi Sports Athlete of the Year, a second-team EA Sports 2007 All-American, and a 2007 All-California State first-team selection.
Drew Gordon played eleven games, averaging 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, during his senior year before an ankle injury sidelined him. He was selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic and named to the Long Beach Press-Telegram's Best in the West first team, as well as the 2007–08 Les Schwab Invitational most valuable player.
After transferring from UCLA, Drew Gordon became eligible to play for New Mexico on December 19, 2010.
Drew Gordon was named the Mountain West Conference Newcomer of the Year and selected to the Second-Team All-Mountain West on March 7, 2011.
