Alysha Newman is a celebrated Canadian pole vaulter. A bronze medallist at the 2024 Summer Olympics, she is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games champion. She holds the Canadian national and Commonwealth Games records in the women's pole vault. Newman has represented Canada at the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Summer Olympics. Her Olympic bronze is historic, making her the first Canadian woman to medal in pole vaulting at the Olympics.
