Amir Iqbal Khan is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2005 to 2022. Khan began boxing competitively at 11 and gained prominence at the 2004 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the lightweight division at 17, becoming Britain's youngest boxing Olympic medalist. Turning professional in 2005, he was named ESPN prospect of the year in 2007. Khan became one of the youngest British professional world champions, winning the WBA title at 22.

On 2 March 2006, Amir Khan's car hit and broke the leg of a pedestrian in Bolton while speeding and overtaking in the wrong lane, leading to a later conviction.

On 7 January 2008, Amir Khan was fined £1000 and banned for 42 days for a speeding offence.
On May 31, 2013, Amir Khan married Faryal Makhdoom at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. A second celebration took place in Manchester with 4,000 guests.

On August 4, 2017, Amir Khan announced that he and Faryal Makhdoom had agreed to split.
In November 2017, Amir Khan arrived in Brisbane, Australia to appear as a contestant on the seventeenth series of "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!". He was the highest-paid contestant in the history of the show.
In November 2017, photos emerged of Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom together, with Khan later confirming that they had reconciled.
On December 8, 2017, Amir Khan was eliminated from "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!", finishing in 5th place overall. He donated part of his earnings to Barnado's.

In April 2022, Amir Khan and his wife were victims of an armed robbery in East London, where robbers took Khan's watch valued at £72,000. Following the robbery, Khan and his family permanently moved to Dubai due to safety concerns.
In 2023, Amir Khan appeared in a spin-off of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" called "I'm a Celebrity... South Africa".
In May 2024, Amir Khan was given an honorary rank of Captain by the Pakistan Army. He thanked the army for the honour in a video shared on his Instagram account.
In January 2025, Dante Campbell and Ahmed Bana, found guilty of the armed robbery against Amir Khan and his wife in April 2022, were sentenced. Bana received a prison term of nine years and eight months, while Campbell received seven years and nine months.
