In 2018, Baja Beach Fest was founded by Aaron Ampudia and Chris Den Uijl in Rosarito and Los Angeles respectively. They are the current co-owners and promoters of the annual beachside festival held in August.

2019: Baja Beach Fest 2019

In 2019, Baja Beach Fest expanded to a two-day event hosting 30,000 people. Performances included Ozuna, J Balvin, Becky G, Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam, Alex Rose, Brytiago, Cazzu, DJ Luian, Lyanno, and Amenazzy. The festival was recognized as the #1 Emerging Festival of North America by USA Today.

2020: 2020 Festival Delayed

In 2020, the festival was planned as a three-day event with Ozuna, Anuel AA, Karol G, and J Balvin as headliners, but it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2021: Baja Beach Fest 2021 Artists

In 2021, from August 13 to August 22, Baja Beach Fest hosted artists including Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Lunay, Guaynaa, Jhay Cortez, J Balvin, Kali Uchis, and Justin Quiles.

2022: Baja Beach Fest 2022

In 2022, from August 12-14th to August 19-21st, Baja Beach Fest hosted artists including Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Maluma, Arcángel, Wisin & Yandel, Sech, Nicki Nicole, Natti Natasha, Myke Towers, Farruko, and Emilia Mernes.

2024: Baja Beach Fest 2024

In 2024, from August 9th to August 11th, Baja Beach Fest hosted artists including Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro, Fuerza Regida, Becky G, Yandel, Jhayco, and Kali Uchis.
