Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) is the public school system serving Baltimore County, Maryland, and ranks as the 25th largest in the United States as of 2013. Governed by the board of education and headquartered in Towson, BCPS is currently led by Superintendent Myriam Rogers, who assumed the role on July 1, 2023.

January 11, 1978: Proposed School Closures

At the January 11, 1978, board meeting, a proposal was made to eliminate six elementary schools and repurpose two middle schools due to declining enrollment projections.

December 2007: Parents' Group Calls for New School

2018: Overcrowding
