Beast Games is an American reality competition TV series created by MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), along with Tyler Conklin, Sean Klitzner, and Mack Hopkins. Hosted by Donaldson, the show features 1,000 contestants competing for a grand prize exceeding $5 million. This is the largest cast and prize money ever offered in reality television history, surpassing Squid Game: The Challenge's $4.56 million prize.
On March 18, 2024, MrBeast announced a $100 million deal with Amazon MGM Studios to create Beast Games for Prime Video.
Applications for Beast Games opened on May 5, 2024.
On September 16, 2024, a class action lawsuit was filed against Beast Games, alleging denial of basic needs, injuries, mistreatment, sexual harassment, and unpaid overtime during production.
On December 19, 2024, the first two episodes of Beast Games premiered on Amazon Prime Video. A YouTube video titled "2,000 People Fight For $5,000,000" was also released, showing the tryouts for the game show and the initial cut from 2,000 to 1,000 contestants.
Filming for Beast Games began in 2024. The first round with 2,000 contestants took place from July 18-22 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and a second round with 1,000 contestants filmed at Downsview Park Studios in Toronto in August.
