Benin

Benin, officially the Republic of Benin, is a West African country bordered by Togo, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Niger. Its population is about 13 million and its capital is Porto-Novo, though the government seat and economic center are in Cotonou. Benin's economy is heavily reliant on agriculture, particularly palm oil and cotton exports. Formerly known as Dahomey, Benin's population is primarily concentrated along its southern coastline on the Bight of Benin.
