Caleb Love is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Portland Trail Blazers of the NBA, while also under a two-way contract with the Rip City Remix of the NBA G League. Before turning professional, he played college basketball for both the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Arizona Wildcats. His career is focused on professional basketball.
In 1997, Larry Hughes from Christian Brothers College High School was named a McDonald's All-American. This was before Caleb Love attended the school.

On October 1, 2019, Caleb Love committed to play college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels, choosing them over Missouri, Louisville, and Kansas due to coach Roy Williams and the opportunity to play lead guard.
In 2020, Caleb Love was recognized as a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in his class by major recruiting services.
On January 20, 2021, Caleb Love scored 20 points in an 80–73 victory over Wake Forest.
On January 25, 2021, Caleb Love was named ACC Freshman of the Week.
On February 6, 2021, Caleb Love scored a then career-high 25 points and had 7 assists in a 91–87 victory over Duke.
On February 8, 2021, Caleb Love earned his second Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Freshman of the week honor.
After success in the prior season, Love, Black, Davis and Bacot returned for the 2022-23 season. Despite high expectations, the season was difficult, but Love set new career highs in field-goal percentage, points per game and rebounds per game. The Tar Heels stumbled to a 20-13 record.
In the 2022 NCAA tournament, Caleb Love scored 27 of his then career-high 30 points in the second half against UCLA in the Sweet Sixteen. He also scored 28 points against Duke in the Final Four. However, UNC lost the title game to Kansas, with Love scoring 13 points on 5-of-24 shooting.
On November 6, 2023, Caleb Love made his Wildcat debut, scoring 12 points and dishing out four assists in a 122–59 victory over Morgan State.
On March 12, 2024, Caleb Love was awarded the Pac-12 Player of the Year Award. He averaged a team-high 18.7 points and helped Arizona earn the No. 2 seed in the West region of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
On May 29, 2024, Caleb Love announced his withdrawal from the 2024 NBA Draft and his return to Arizona for his graduate season. During that season, he averaged 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
On July 1, 2025, after going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, Caleb Love signed a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Rip City Remix.
