She achieved historical wins as the first female professional to win the show and the first to win twice consecutively. She participated in 26 seasons. Beyond Dancing with the Stars, Burke was a runner-up on NBC's I Can Do That and took over from Abby Lee Miller as the coach on Dance Moms in 2017.
